It began in a laboratory, not a boardroom. A German researcher, studying the proteins of the humble pea, isolated something remarkable — albumin, a complete, intact protein with a striking likeness to the albumin already present in human skin.
Where most actives arrive as fragments the skin must rebuild, this one arrived whole. The question that followed was simple: what if skincare started with a protein, not an acid?
That question became the foundation of everything we make.
THE FOUNDER
An unexpected discovery.
Christine Lewington wasn't looking to build a skincare house. She was looking for something that worked.
Like so many, she'd spent years on products that promised results and delivered irritation — her reactive, midlife skin growing more sensitive with every new active. When she first encountered pea albumin, she recognised what the industry had overlooked: a protein gentle enough for the most reactive skin, yet complete enough to make a difference.
She spent the next chapter building it into a proprietary pea albumin complex — and, around it, the brand she'd been unable to find.
